ORGANIZATIONAL BACKGROUND
HUHESO FOUNDATION is a non-Profit Organization based in Tanzania
Mainland was legally registered as The Foundation for Human Health and Social
Development (HUHESO Foundation) under
NGO act No 24 of 2002 with registration number 00NGO/08602 at Ministry of Health, Community Development, Gender,
Elderly and Children (MoHCDEC).
Our primary
goal is to lead disadvantaged groups into development process in Tanzania and
play constructive role in uniting their efforts and potentialities in society.
HUHESO-FOUNDATION strives to promote dignity, equitable access to social
services and resources for development.
HUHESO
FOUNDATION is currently working in partnership with FHI360, Shinyanga and
Iringa Region, and District Health Authorities in Regional and District Health
management teams to implement EpiC
program. Meeting Targets and Maintaining Epidemic Control (EpiC) is a global
project funded by the U.S. President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR)
through U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) which is dedicated to
achieving and maintaining HIV epidemic control.
EpiC provides
strategic technical assistance (TA) and direct service delivery to break through
barriers to 95-95-95 and improve HIV case-finding, prevention and linkage to
treatment. HUHESO Foundation works closely with the Government of Tanzania (GoT) at
national and sub-national levels to implement EpiC project in Kahama MC, Ushetu DC
and in all councils in Iringa region to address critical gaps and bottlenecks
in the response to Women and Men who are at higher risk of getting HIV by providing a core package of
Vulnerability-tailored client and community centered combination of HIV
prevention and family planning services with traceable linkages to care,
treatment and other referral services. HUHESO FOUNDATION is seeking to recruit
highly qualified, experienced, motivated and dynamic individual to fill the
following position:
JOB TITLE: DATA OFFICERS (1 POST)

Position
Description:
Data
Officer Will Provide technical support and oversight to the implementation of
community-based activities for all details obtained from targeted population in
the district, including the details and data from community-based HIV testing
and counseling (CBHTC), pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP), HIV self-testing
(HIVST), linkage to care, family planning (FP), services for gender-based
violence (GBV) victims, and sexually transmitted infection (STI) screening.
Data officer should be able to analyze and translate all indicators performance
and track the project trend, will Work closely with data manager and all other
technical staffs for making sure that each data from all project interventions
is entered in all project systems.
Roles and Responsibilities:
· Oversee collection of data from various sources, ensuring it
is accurate, reliable, and timely.
· Assist
the data manager in keeping records of all the forms collected from field
activities file completed forms in organized manner Enter data, run output
reports from data bases and cross-check with data sources to make sure that
data are accurate.
· Ensuring
data quality through reviewing of all data collection forms submitted to the
office by field officers and other data collectors particularly, health unit’s
staff, CHWs and identifying the errors and working with data collectors to
ensure that the errors are timely addressed.
· Ensuring
data and field level are collected according to EpiC guidelines, well kept at
all levels, analyzed and results shared with data manager.
· Conducting
data verification and periodic data audits to ensure data quality at all times
· Implement
and monitor quality assurance procedures to ensure data integrity and
consistency.
· Ensure
that all data handling practices comply with ethical standards and legal
requirements, particularly regarding patient confidentiality.
· Implement
data protection measures to safeguard sensitive information.
· Create
mechanisms for feedback on data collection and reporting processes to
facilitate continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications:
- Degree
or Diploma in Information Technology, information management and
statistics,
- Training in Monitoring and Evaluation, community
mobilization, counseling is of added advantages.
- Experience
in HIV Prevention, Care and Treatment Programming.
- Community
health experiences and capacities.
- Ability
of Community Health Work, Health Committees (villages Health committees,
Ward Development committees, Health facilities committees) etc.
- Ability
to build relationship with Key Vulnerable Populations (KVP) groups at
community levels.
- Able
to work with Health staff at different district council levels.
- Proficiency in writing and
speaking English
- Able to timely collect, verification, compilation and data
analysis as required by the EpiC.
- Ability
to work with minimal supervision.
