ORGANIZATIONAL BACKGROUND

HUHESO FOUNDATION is a non-Profit Organization based in Tanzania Mainland was legally registered as The Foundation for Human Health and Social Development (HUHESO Foundation) under NGO act No 24 of 2002 with registration number 00NGO08602 at Ministry of Health, Community Development, Gender, Elderly and Children (MoHCDGEC).

Our primary goal is to lead disadvantaged groups into development process in Tanzania and play constructive role in uniting their efforts and potentialities in society. HUHESO-FOUNDATION strives to promote dignity, equitable access to social services and resources for development and enhance Children, Youth and Women. HUHESO-FOUNDATION ensures sustainable behavioral change, HIV/AIDS and CANCER Prevention programs and promotes Children, Youth, and disabled people against HIV/AIDS.

HUHESO FOUNDATION is currently implementing the EpiC Project in Shinyanga region specifically in Ushetu DC and n four councils in Iringa region.

Meeting Targets and Maintaining Epidemic Control (EpiC) is a global project funded by the U.S. President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) and the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) which is dedicated to achieving and maintaining HIV epidemic control. It is led by FHI 360 as prime and has a five-year period of performance from 2019 to 2024.

EpiC provides strategic technical assistance (TA) and direct service delivery to break through barriers to 95-95-95 and improve HIV case-finding, prevention and linkage to treatment among key and priority populations (PP). In Shinyanga region the project is implemented by HUHESO Foundation in Ushetu DC to address critical gaps and bottlenecks in the response to HIV among key and vulnerable populations (KVP) and adolescent girls and young women (vAGYW). The EpiC project works closely with the Government of Tanzania (GoT) at national and sub-national levels to deliver HIV and other services tailored to the needs of these groups.

Project implementation will be continued in Ushetu District and in four districts in Iringa region targeting Vulnerable Adolescent Girls and Young Women (vAGYW) as well as Female and male who are at higher risk of getting HIV in the area, in a core package of Vulnerability-tailored client and community centered combination of HIV prevention and family planning services with traceable linkages to care, treatment and other referral services.

HUHESO FOUNDATION is therefore seeking to recruit highly qualified, experienced, motivated and dynamic individual to fill the following position;

1: JOB TITLE: DATA OFFICER 1 POSITIONS.

Reports to: Deputy Data Manager

Position Description

Data Clerk Providing technical support and oversight to the implementation of community-based activities for all details obtained from KVP and AGYW in the district, including the details and data from community-based HIV testing and counseling (CBHTC), pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP), HIV self-testing (HIVST), linkage to care, family planning (FP), services for gender-based violence (GBV) victims, and sexually transmitted infection (STI) screening. Working closely with data manager and all other technical staffs for making sure that each data from all project interventions is entered in the system

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Enter data, run output reports from data bases and cross-check with data sources to make sure that data are accurate.

• Assist the data manager in keeping records of all the forms collected from field activities file completed forms in organized manner Enter data, run output reports from data bases and cross-check with data sources to make sure that data are accurate.
• Ensure all data are routinely entered into the data base and updated
• Ensuring data quality through reviewing of all data collection forms submitted to the office by field officers and other data collectors particularly, health unit’s staff, CHWs and identifying the errors and working with data collectors to ensure that the errors are timely addressed.
• Ensuring data and field level are collected according to EpiC guidelines, well kept at all levels, analyzed and results shared with data manager.
• Conducting data verification and periodic data audits to ensure data quality at all time

Required qualifications

• Certificate or Diploma in Information Technology with two years of working experience.
• Additional training in Monitoring and Evaluation, community mobilization, counseling is of added advantages.
• Experience in HIV Prevention, Care and Treatment Programming community health services will be an added advantage
• Ability to build relationship with Key Vulnerable Populations (KVP) groups at community levels.
• Able to work with Health staff at different district council levels.
• Able to timely collect, compilation and data analysis as required by the EpiC project.
• Ability to work under minimal supervision.
